Governor Sisolak kicks off ‘Jobs + Workers Week’ in Nevada at International Union of Elevator Constructors International Convention

NEVADA - September 27, 2021

Today Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak kicked off ‘Jobs + Workers Week’ in Nevada at International Union of Elevator Constructors International Convention in Las Vegas, the Governor spoke to attendees at Resorts World Las Vegas. The Governor highlighted Nevada’s union leadership, and the State’s plan to leverage recent Infrastructure Bank legislation to create more good-paying jobs.

“This international organization represents over 25,000 members in North America, employs more than 350 elevator constructors, and boasts 120 years of history, serving, and protecting union workers and their families. Your work is engrained in every building and every high-rise, including the one we are gathering here today,” the Governor said. “It was because of you we were able to elevate our nation’s structures, our economy, and our dreams to new and unprecedented heights - It was elevator constructors who built the United States.”
