Governor Sisolak Wraps Up ‘Jobs +Workers Week’ with visit to Geotab

LAS VEGAS - September 30, 2021

Today Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak kicked off the final day of ‘Jobs + Workers Week’ in Nevada with a visit to Geotab.

This worldwide logistics technology company is a global leader in Iot and smart mobility, whose connected car technology is found in over 2.4 million commercial vehicles around the world. Today, the Governor was able to participate in a demonstration of their technology and learn more about how the company is working to align with the State’s environmental and economic priorities.

“As we continue to diversify our State’s economy, we must remain laser-focused in developing our workforce, supporting our workers, and creating the jobs of the future,“ said Gov. Sisolak. “We will continue to work in lockstep with technological innovative companies like Geotab that employ hundreds of Nevadans in the high demand industry and help Nevada become a leader in technological innovation.”

Geotab was founded in Canada in 2000 and established its USA Headquarters in Las Vegas in 2015. The company currently employs over 200 Nevadans and has a capital investment of $1,722,500 in Nevada. With 12 office locations worldwide, Geotab is the largest commercial telematics company in the world and processes over 40 billion points of data each and every day.
