Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak signed the following 70 bills into law today
Noteworthy bills signed by Governor Sisolak today include:
- Assembly Bill 187, sponsored by Assemblyman Jason Frierson, which designates the month of September of each year as “Ovarian and Prostate Cancer Prevention and Awareness Month” in Nevada.
- Assembly Bill 89, which authorizes the Board of Wildlife Commissioners (Commission) to adopt regulations establishing a program that allows a person to transfer his/her big game tag to a qualified organization for use by a person who is 16 years of age or younger and who is otherwise eligible to hunt or who has a disability or life-threatening medical condition.
- Senate Bill 251, which requires primary care providers to attempt to determine whether adult women, to whom they provide services, have a personal or family history of certain cancers or meet other criteria for which the United States Preventive Services Task Force recommends screening for a harmful mutation of the BRCA gene.
