Las Vegas - April 15, 2021
Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak will join members of the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), industry partners and others to unveil an expansion of CSN’s manufacturing programs Friday at 11 a.m.
The expansion was funded by a $2 million grant from the Governor’s Office of Economic Development’s Workforce Innovations for the New Nevada (WINN) fund. The WINN fund supports companies looking to expand or locate their business operation in Nevada with training programs that will equip workers with the skills needed by employers.
Gov. Sisolak will be joined by CSN President Dr. Federico Zaragoza, representatives from Haas Automation, Inc., and instructors who will discuss the benefits of these programs and provide a demonstration of manufacturing equipment.
Media outlets will be required to abide by all current COVID-19 protocols, including wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing. Press is asked to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 9 a.m.
The event will be held in the courtyard of Building B on the CSN Henderson Campus, 700 College Drive, Henderson, NV.
