Governor Sisolak Announces Delayed Opening for State Government Offices in Elko Area Due to Inclement Weather

CARSON CITY, NV - February 14, 2019

Due to inclement weather conditions and snow, the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) are reporting dangerous road conditions and closures in the Elko and Spring Creek areas. As such, Governor Steve Sisolak has ordered a two-hour delay for all state government offices (other than essential public safety and corrections personnel) in the Elko area. State government offices in the Elko area are to open at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 14th.

The governor urges state employees to allow for plenty of time to safely commute to work in the likely event of slow and icy road conditions.
