EXECUTIVE ORDER 2021-07

ORDERING FLAGS TO HALF STAFF HONORING THE VICTIMS OF SHOOTINGS IN ATLANTA

WHEREAS, on March 16, 2021, the Atlanta metropolitan area witnessed numerous senseless shootings; and

WHEREAS, Nevadans mourn along with the friends and families of the victims who tragically lost their lives; and

WHEREAS, we as a State remember and honor those victims and their loved ones; and

WHEREAS, we, collectively as a State, condemn these violent acts and pray that the friends and families of the victims of these terrible acts will be comforted by the outpouring of love and charity from their respective communities and from this nation;

NOW, THEREFORE by the authority vested in me as Governor by the Constitution and laws of the State of Nevada, and pursuant to the Proclamation issued by President Joseph R. Biden on March 18th, 2021, and pursuant to section 7 of title 4 of the United States Code, it is hereby ordered as follows:

The flags of the United States and the State of Nevada shall be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol and all State public buildings and grounds until sunset on March 22, 2021, in honor of the victims of these shootings.
