
WHEREAS, it is the mission of the Nevada Board of Long Term Care Administrators (BELTCA) to license and regulate long term care administrators in Nevada, including Nursing Home Administrators, Residential Facilities for Groups Administrators, and Health Service executives; and
WHEREAS, Nevada currently has 465 nursing homes and assisted living/residential care facilities; and
WHEREAS, there are 425 licensed Long Term Care Administrators and hundreds of support staff who care for and assist thousands of patients and residents; and
WHEREAS, Long Term Care Administrators and their staffs work tirelessly to ensure our seniors are served in a dignified and caring manner; and
WHEREAS, Over the years, Long Term Care Administrators and their staffs have responded to numerous crises.; and
WHEREAS, Long Term Care Administrators and their staffs have devoted themselves selflessly to leading the response to the COVID-19 pandemic, sacrificing their own health, safety, and time with their loved ones to save lives in Nevada; and
WHEREAS, Nevada values the efforts of these dedicated professionals who are working to protect our seniors during these difficult times;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim June 1, 2022, as
LONG TERM CARE ADMINISTRATORS DAY IN NEVADA
