WHEREAS, Sandra Jaquez is retiring after serving the Silver State with distinction for 29 years, where she consistently served displaying loyalty and dedication to the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS); and

WHEREAS, for her entire career, Sandra has served the State of Nevada, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services. She started in October 1993 as an Administrative Assistant I, progressing through the ranks until she was promoted to Family Service Specialist in July 2017. She has worked at the Belrose, Craig, and Decatur Offices; and

WHEREAS, Sandra has worked under the leadership of five Nevada Governors: Bob Miller, Kenny Guinn, Jim Gibbons, Brian Sandoval and Steve Sisolak; and

WHEREAS, she has distinguished herself through commitment and service throughout the years and will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally by all who have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Service, on behalf of its employees, extends to Sandra a sincere thanks and gratitude for her service to the citizens of the Silver State and best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 1, 2022, as a day in honor of
