WHEREAS, Elizabeth Graunke is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles on April 1, 2022, after 33 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth started her career with the Department of Motor Vehicles in Carson City in August 1988, as a Student Worker; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth was promoted to Clerical Trainee in December 1989, and in October 1999, she was promoted again to a DMV Services Supervisor; and

WHEREAS, in May 2005, Elizabeth was promoted to Employee Development as a Program Officer III; and

WHEREAS, in January 2011, Elizabeth was promoted to the position of Training Officer II within the Department of Motor Vehicles; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth has endeared herself to all with her vast knowledge, dedication to service, and compassion for others; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally, by all those who had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the State of Nevada joins with co-workers and management in expressing our profound and sincere appreciation for Elizabeth’s 33 years of outstanding service to this department and the residents of our Silver State, earning her the right to enjoy a well-deserved and happy retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim April 1, 2022, as a day in honor of
