WHEREAS, Tony Corda has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for 33 years; and

WHEREAS, Tony earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University Nevada, Reno in 1986 and began an internship with the Nevada Department of Corrections; and

WHEREAS, Tony promoted to a variety of positions within the Department of Corrections throughout his state career, including serving as a Correctional Officer, Caseworker, Classification Analyst, and Associate Warden of Programs; and

WHEREAS, Tony was appointed to the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners in July 2009 where he served until his retirement in January 2021; and

WHEREAS, Tony will be missed both professionally and personally by all those who have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with him; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Tony Corda for his years of service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
