
WHEREAS, Sandy Zboinski is retiring from the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services on May 8, 2021 after 26 years of exceptional State of Nevada service; and
WHEREAS, Sandy began her state service on August 8, 1994 with the Department of Motor Vehicles before transferring to DWSS and progressing through the ranks as a Family Support Specialist I and II, Management Analyst I, Quality Control Specialist I, Business Process Analyst I and finally her current position as a Business Process Analyst II - IT Project Manager in the DWSS Project Management Office; and
WHEREAS, Sandy has served the Silver State with distinction under five Governors: Bob Miller, Kenny Guinn, Jim Gibbons, Brian Sandoval and Steve Sisolak; and
WHEREAS, Sandy has consistently met difficult challenges and stringent deadlines, earning the respect of her colleagues for her ability to adapt and conquer the most difficult challenges; she maintains a big picture perspective, yet pays attention to the smallest details to ensure the success of a project; and
WHEREAS, Sandy has formed lasting friendships with the many members of her professional family and will be remembered for her perseverance and compassion; and has had a positive impact on the many people she has worked with over the years; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada thanks Sandy Zboinski for her leadership, devotion, public service and profound lasting impact on Nevada’s history, and offers her best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim May 8, 2021, as a day in honor of
SANDY ZBOINSKI
