
WHEREAS, Kari A. Yelenich has served the Silver State with distinction and professional excellence for thirty-two years; and
WHEREAS, Kari began her career in State service with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services on September 18, 1989, where she worked as an Eligibility Certification Specialist. Later she reclassified as a Family Services Specialist II, providing various public assistance programs and resources to Nevadans; and
WHEREAS, Kari progressed through the ranks, where she performed her duties professionally and ethically as a Family Support Specialist III, Quality Control Specialist I, and finally in her current position as a Hearing Officer in the Administrative Adjudications Unit; and
WHEREAS, Kari has worked at the Henderson and Belrose District Offices, and the Chandler Administrative Office. Due to her vast knowledge of policy and regulations, Kari served on several committees and various special projects during her career; and
WHEREAS, Kari has displayed exceptional commitment and dedication throughout her thirty-two years of service with the State of Nevada, during which time citizens of this State were fortunate to have her as an advocate and civil servant. Kari will be sincerely missed by all who have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and
WHEREAS, in honor of Kari and in recognition of her significant contributions to the State of Nevada, colleagues, friends and co-workers would like to thank and commend her for her years of devoted and honorable service, and extend their best wishes for a healthy, happy, prosperous, and fulfilling retirement;
