Governor Sisolak Announces state Government Office Closures in Northern Nevada Due to Inclement Weather

CARSON CITY, NV - February 04, 2019

Due to inclement weather and potentially dangerous road conditions reported by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) in the Carson City/Reno area, Governor Steve Sisolak has ordered all state government offices (other than essential public safety and corrections personnel) to be closed, effective at 1:30 pm today in Carson City. Affected employees will be granted administrative leave.

The governor, along with NDOT and DPS, will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions in Washoe County to determine if state government offices in Reno should also be closed. The safety and well-being of the state’s employees are of the utmost concern to the governor.
