ORDERING FLAGS TO HALF STAFF

HONORING FORMER VICE PRESIDENT WALTER MONDALE

WHEREAS, on April 19, 2021, former Vice President Walter Mondale passed away; and

WHEREAS, Walter Mondale served as Attorney General of Minnesota, a United States Senator, Vice President of the United State, and as the United State Ambassador to Japan; and

WHEREAS, we as a State mourn, remember, and honor Walter Mondale's dedication as a public servant; and

NOW, THEREFORE, by the authority vested in me as Governor by the Constitution and laws of the State of Nevada, and pursuant to the Proclamation issued by President Joseph R. Biden on April 20, 2021, and pursuant to section 7 of title 4 of the United States Code, it is hereby ordered as follows:

The flags of the United States and the State of Nevada shall be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol and all State public buildings and grounds until sunset on the day of interment, in honor of Vice President Walter Mondale.
