Gerald Gardner
Chief of Staff
Gerald Gardner was the Assistant District Attorney of Carson City from 2007 to 2012. During Governor Sandoval’s term as Attorney General, Gardner served as Chief of the Attorney General’s Las Vegas Office and Chief of the Criminal Division. Gardner received his law degree from Cornell University and his bachelor’s degree from Kenyon College.
Jackie Bryant
Deputy Chief of Staff
Prior to joining the Governor’s office, Jackie was an attorney with Holland & Hart. Bryant has extensive experience in Nevada state government, having worked as the staff counsel for the Public Utilities Commission (PUCN), insurance counsel and hearing officer for the Nevada Division of Insurance and a senior deputy attorney general for the Nevada Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. Bryant is also a former member of the Nevada Health Care Reform Planning Group.
Mac Bybee
Director of Public Relations & Community Affairs
Mac Bybee joins the Governor’s office from Senator Dean Heller’s office in Washington D.C. where he has served for the past six years managing media relations and communications strategy. Bybee also previously worked on Heller’s 2006 campaign and in Heller’s Congressional office. A Native Nevadan who grew up in Carson City, Bybee graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Mary-Sarah Kinner
Communications Director
Mary-Sarah Kinner served as Communications Director during the Governor’s successful campaign. Prior to joining Sandoval's campaign, Kinner was Deputy Press Secretary for the Ranking Member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs in Washington, D.C.
Michon Martin
General Counsel
Prior to joining the Governor’s Office, Martin was the Chief Deputy Attorney General with the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, where she served as the lead tobacco counsel in all nationwide litigation and managed the Tobacco Enforcement Unit. In addition to representing the State in complex, high exposure litigation Martin has testified before the Legislature on legislation involving the Attorney General’s Office. Martin has also served as counsel to the Nevada Department of Public Safety, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the Department of Corrections.
Judy Osgood
Senior Policy Analyst
Osgood, a former law clerk to then-Federal Judge Brian Sandoval, is also a former contract attorney. In addition to formerly being in private practice, Osgood was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Janet Berry. Osgood received her J.D. from Syracuse University, Summa Cum Laude and her B.S.from Cornell University. Osgood is also a member of the Order of the Coif at Syracuse University.
Christina Davis
Special Assistant to the Governor
Before joining the Governor’s staff, Christina was employed with the Nevada Association of Counties. Christina Davis previously served under Sandoval in the Attorney General’s Office as his Executive Assistant.
Cory Hunt
Policy Analyst
Prior to joining the Governor’s staff, Cory was an associate at a natural resource policy and management consulting firm. A native Nevadan, Cory previously worked for the Nevada Legislative Counsel Bureau and held research positions at the University of Nevada, Reno where he graduated with degrees in political science and geography.
Tyler Klimas
Manager of Intergovernmental Affairs
Klimas is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and most recently served as the Southern Nevada Coordinator during the Governor’s successful campaign.
Rebecca Josten
Senior Staff Administrative Assistant
Prior to joining the Governor’s staff Becky was a legislative intern for Heidi Gansert during the 2007 Legislative Session and received her Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs from the University of Nevada, Reno.
Nikki Haag
Administrative Assistant
Prior to joining the governor’s staff, Nikki has spent the past 15 years as a customer service leader. She has had held several customer service leadership roles with Southwest Airlines. Most recently she was a small business owner in Carson City.
Jordan Grow
Policy Analyst
Jordan received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Reno. Prior to joining the Governor’s staff she was a committee secretary with the Nevada Legislature.
Audra P. Blackwell
Management Analyst
A veteran of state service, Audra has worked for the State of Nevada in the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Most recently, Audra served in the Department of Administration.
Pierron Tackes
Constituent Services Program Officer
Pierron received her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from The George Washington University. Prior to working in the Governor’s office, she held two internships with the United States Senate.
Las Vegas Staff
Sonia Joya
Southern Nevada Director
Most recently state director for former U.S. Senator John Ensign, Joya was Southern Nevada Director for then-Governor Kenny Guinn in 1999. A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Joya has served in director capacities for elected officials in Nevada for over 15 years.
Annalyn Bo Carrillo
Boards and Commissions Manager
Carrillo, a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, began working in the Governor's office as an intern for Governor Kenny C. Guinn in 2003. Appointed as a staff member in Governor Gibbons' office in 2007, Carrillo also served internships in the office of then-Attorney General Brian Sandoval and Attorney General Bruce Botelho of Alaska.
Monica A. Phillips
Administrative Assistant - Constituent Services
Prior to joining the Governors staff Monica served as an office manager for Nevada Congressman Joe Heck. From 2004 through 2010, Monica worked as an administrator from for multiple campaigns/political strategists, including federal and state legislators.
