WHEREAS, helping those in need, Carson Advocates for Cancer Care was founded in 1992; and

WHEREAS, this organization of volunteers has been dedicated to fulfilling it’s mission, by providing assistance and care for local cancer patients in Northern Nevada; and

WHEREAS, this assistance is made possible through funding from grants received by organizations like the Susan G. Komen Foundation and The Task Force for the Fund for a Healthy Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Carson Advocates for Cancer Care must also rely on the generosity of concerned citizens and other charitable foundations; and

WHEREAS, "Winter Wine and All That Jazz" is an instrumental component in the fund raising efforts of the Carson Advocates for Cancer Care becoming a twelve year tradition in Northern Nevada;
