WHEREAS, Sandy Gosnell has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for more than 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Sandy began her career in state service on August 21, 1989, working as a Clerical Trainee, and was quickly promoted to an Administrative Assistant I before progressing through the ranks to her current position as a Business Process Analyst II – Testing Supervisor; and

WHEREAS, over the past 30 years, Sandy has made a positive impact on the many people she has worked with and supervised in the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS), and she has consistently met difficult challenges and stringent deadlines earning the respect of her colleagues; and

WHEREAS, in 2000, Sandy was integral to the successful implementation of the Nevada Operations of Multi-Automated Data Systems (NOMADS) and numerous new DWSS systems thereafter; and

WHEREAS, Sandy has formed lasting friendships with the many members of her professional family and will be remembered for her dedication, reliability, perseverance and compassion; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada thanks Sandy Gosnell for her years of service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim December 12, 2019, as a day in honor of
