WHEREAS, Sharon E. Jackson has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for 26 years; and

WHEREAS, Sharon began her distinguished career with the State of Nevada Department of Business & Industry and has held various positions within the department including Deputy Administrator, Deputy Director, Commissioner of Consumer Affairs, Ombudsman for Common Interest Communities, Chief Investigator, Personnel Manager, Mediator and Compliance Auditor Investigator; and

WHEREAS, she was integral in the development of a successful mediation program within the Consumer Affairs Division, also centralizing the personnel services within the department and created a successful informal conferencing program in the Real Estate Division, Ombudsman’s Office; and

WHEREAS, Sharon has always been known as a strong leader, mentor, manager and her commitment to staff and constituents is to be commended; and

WHEREAS, in addition to working for the Department of Business & Industry, Sharon has contributed many volunteer hours as a mediator and mentor in the Southern Nevada community; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Sharon E. Jackson for her years of service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim March 8, 2019, as a day in honor of
