Seal of the State of Nevada

WHEREAS, Sergeant Steve Aldridge has selflessly served the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, he has dedicated the entirety of his career to the safety of the citizens of the Silver State and has made an indelible impact on all those he has served; and

WHEREAS, Steve began his career in state service with the Nevada Highway Patrol in August 1990, and retired as a Lieutenant with Dignitary Protection for the first time in 2010; and

WHEREAS, in 2012, Steve returned to state service with the Department of Public Safety as a Capitol Police Officer and promoted to Dignitary Protection in 2016; and

WHEREAS, Steve Aldridge served under five governors, including Governor Bob Miller, Governor Kenny Guinn, Governor Jim Gibbons, Governor Brian Sandoval and Governor Steve Sisolak; and

WHEREAS, Steve has remained a constant source of information and encouragement throughout his years of service, and has been a role model for all those who have worked with him; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Sergeant Steve Aldridge on his outstanding tenure as a dedicated State employee and joins his family, friends and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation for his years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim March 27, 2019, as a day in honor of
