Seal of the State of Nevada

WHEREAS, Patrick Williams has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Patrick began his service with the state on September 25, 1989, as a Mailroom Clerk for the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services and promoted to various positions within the Division over the years, including Administrative Assistant II, Family Services Specialist, Internal Quality Control Specialist, Family Services Supervisor, Social Services Manager I, Social Services Manager II and Social Services Manager IV; and

WHEREAS, as Social Services Manager IV, Patrick opened the Craig District Office and has served as a model of positive change with his can-do attitude, visionary leadership skills, high level of professionalism, and calm demeanor under the most stressful circumstances; and

WHEREAS, he was instrumental in the development of a Medical Assistance for the Aged, Blind and Disabled (MAABD) statewide training program, ensuring policy knowledge of more than 1,000 professional staff in more than 23 MAABD programs in 2019; and

WHEREAS,  the State of Nevada thanks Patrick Williams for his decades of service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim October 4, 2019, as a day in honor of
