WHEREAS, Nova Murray has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, Nova began her career in state service on June 9, 1992 as an Eligibility Certification Specialist I, working nearly the entirety of her career with the Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services; and

WHEREAS, she promoted to Eligibility Certification Specialist II in 1993, Eligibility Certification Supervisor in 1999, Social Services Program Specialist III in 2002, Social Services Chief I in 2006, Social Services Chief III in 2008, and finally Deputy Administrator in 2015; and

WHEREAS, Nova was instrumental in creating the Nevada Child Support Enforcement Task Force to maximize the collaborative effort between the State and its county partners in the Child Support Enforcement Program; and

WHEREAS, Nova was the Project Manager in charge of moving the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services forward with the Affordable Care Act, and her tireless efforts ensured a smooth transition for the residents of the Silver State; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada thanks Nova Murray for her years of service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim October 18, 2019, as a day in honor of
