WHEREAS, Gary Gerber-Winn has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Gary began his career with Sierra Regional Center in 1989 as a Mental Health Technician I and progressively promoted through Northern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services and Rural Clinics, ending his career as a Developmental Support Technician IV at Rural Regional Center; and

WHEREAS, Gary’s professionalism, knowledge, and skills are respected by the people he has served during his career, exemplifying compassion, commitment, and advocacy during his tenure; and

WHEREAS, the citizens of the Silver State, including the employees of Developmental Services and the Aging and Disability Services Division, express great appreciation for his commitment to providing quality services in state government; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Gary Gerber-Winn for his years of service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim September 13, 2019, as a day in honor of
