WHEREAS, Carol Shelton has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for 27 years; and

WHEREAS, Carol began her career in state service on March 2, 1992, as an Elder Rights Specialist II with the Aging and Disability Services Division in Las Vegas; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada applauds her achievements as a valued employee with the Department of Health and Human Services where she served to protect the rights of long-term care residents and ensured long-term care residents had dignity and respect in their care; and

WHEREAS, Carol has remained an invaluable resource to her colleagues and the residents she has served through the Aging and Disability Services Division; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Carol Shelton for her years of service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim April 12, 2019, as a day in honor of
