Las Vegas, NV - July 24, 2019
Today, Governor Steve Sisolak announced the appointment of Ryan McInerney as Communications Director. Today marks McInerney’s first day in the Administration.
“I am thrilled to have Ryan McInerney as part of our senior staff,” said Gov. Steve Sisolak. “Ryan is a seasoned professional whose varied experiences at the intersection of communications and public policy, as well as his strong ties to Nevada, will bring an invaluable perspective to our team.”
Ryan brings more than a decade of experience in strategic research and communications. He most recently served as a partner based in the Las Vegas office of a political and public affairs research firm where he worked with local and national-level causes and campaigns. From 2013 to 2016, Ryan served as a senior political advisor and directed research and strategic communications for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, where he supervised a staff of 15 and supported earned media efforts and millions of dollars in paid media across dozens of U.S. House races, including in Nevada. Previously, Ryan worked for a public policy non-profit where he focused on immigration and health care issues and served as a team lead for rapid response on President Obama’s Re-Election campaign.
Prior to beginning his political career, Ryan attended the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV where he focused on criminal justice issues while working for the Clark County District Attorney’s and Public Defenders Offices.
