Today, Governor Steve Sisolak highlighted the release of the Nevada School Performance Framework (NPSF) showing that 184 schools statewide increased their Star Rating since last year. To celebrate this outstanding achievement, Governor Sisolak visited Vincent L. Triggs Elementary School in North Las Vegas to commend students and teachers on being one of just three Nevada schools to improve their rating by three stars. Hawthorne Elementary in Mineral County and Hillside Elementary in Storey County also improved their rating by three stars.
“Nevada schools have seen their share of challenges over the years, but I’m so proud to see results that show we are taking positive steps in the right direction – and our teachers deserve a lot of credit,” Governor Sisolak said. “You can’t manage what you can’t measure, and the NPSF helps us better understand and address the issues impacting our schools. We must continue on a path that supports the demonstrated success that only comes from the hard work of our students, teachers, and parents working together towards a brighter future for our kids.”
