WHEREAS, Karri L. Couste has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for 26 years; and

WHEREAS, Karri began her career as a Library Assistant in the Nevada Supreme Court’s Law Library where she served the public and legal staff; and

WHEREAS, she then promoted to a Legal Secretary for the Nevada Supreme Court in October 1997 where she served for more than a decade before promoting to a Paralegal in August 2014; and

WHEREAS, in August 2014, Karri transferred to the executive branch as the Executive Assistant to the Director of Health and Human Services, providing assistance and support to one of Nevada’s largest departments; and

WHEREAS, Karri will be retiring as the Executive Assistant to the Administrator of the Division of Child and Family Services where she has served the State’s most vulnerable children and families; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Karri L. Couste on her outstanding tenure as a dedicated State employee and joins her family, friends and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation for her years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRIAN SANDOVAL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim  September 22, 2018 as a day in honor of
