WHEREAS, Danette Kluever has served the State of Nevada for 30 years as a loyal and honorable employee with the Department of Health and Human Services; and

WHEREAS, Danette began her career with the Division of Aging Services, as a clerical trainee in April 1989, promoted to Accountant Technician II and in 1990 promoted to Management Analyst II, then Management Analyst III with the Division of Child and Family Services where she spent the next 18 years with continuous promotions from Management Analyst IV, Administrative Services Officer III and finally serving as Deputy Administrator since 2010; and

WHEREAS, she has mentored many people in building 15 biennial budgets, numerous years of testimony at various governmental hearings, numerous years defending initiatives within the Child and Family Services Division, provided leadership during vacancies, opened and closed State facilities numerous times, and was a continuous presence in shaping the forward trajectory of the Division; and

WHEREAS, Danette has distinguished herself through her commitment to improving the lives of children, families, older Nevadans and her co-workers where her influence will be felt long after she retires; and

WHEREAS, Danette has served as a role model to all those who have known or worked with her, demonstrating her effective work ethic, sincere caring and perseverance in support of the greater mission within the Department of Health and Human Services; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Danette Kluever on her dedication, service and leadership throughout her career, and joins her family, friends and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation for her 30 years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRIAN SANDOVAL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim  April 13, 2018 as a day in honor of
