WHEREAS, Sharon Wilson has faithfully devoted more than 27 years of public service to the State of Nevada including an appointment to the Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Council as a representative of the Nevada Department of Corrections where she currently serves as Chair; and
WHEREAS, through more than two decades of public service, Sharon Wilson has served as a Psychologist II for the Nevada Department of Corrections and she has spent 23 years at Northern Nevada Correctional Center on the Mental Health Unit, with her last 4 years on the Structured Care Unit, and during her career she successfully found placement in the community for numerous seriously mentally ill inmates who were either paroling or expiring their sentences; and
WHEREAS, Sharon has developed a sterling reputation in the workplace, and is regarded by her friends and co-workers as a team player who is consistently helpful, understanding, and creative, as well as self-motivated and energetic; and
WHEREAS, Sharon's work ethic and dedication to her role are complemented by the balance she has struck between her professional responsibilities and her devotion to spending time with her family, enriching the lives of those around her, and pursuing her hobbies and other interests; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Sharon Wilson on her outstanding tenure as a dedicated State employee, and joins her friends and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation forher years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
