WHEREASMary Isbister has served the state of Nevada and the Department of Public Safety for 25 years; and 

WHEREAS, Mary is a diligent and committed public servant who has conscientiously provided two and a half decades of exceptional service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, she began her career with the State of Nevada in May 1992 and has served at the Nevada Department of Corrections, and Parole and Probation; and

WHEREAS, for the past 21 years Mary has served as a Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation Officer II where she has worked tirelessly supervising offenders in various capacities and has protected the citizens of Reno and the great State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Mary has adeptly served in a multitude of roles within the Department of Public Safety and possesses a depth and breadth of knowledge which will be sorely missed; and

WHEREAS, the people of Nevada and her fellow employees at the Division of parole and Probation have benefitted greatly from the dedication of Mary Isbister and we join her family, friends and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation to her for her years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRIAN SANDOVAL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim  May 17, 2017 as a day in honor of

 MARY ISBISTER
