WHEREAS, Ardell Galbreth honorably served in the United States Air Force for 28 years, retiring as Command Chief Master Sergeant; and

WHEREAS, he served as the Executive Director of the Southern Nevada Workforce Investment Board, Workforce Connections, and formerly served as the Deputy Director of the State of Nevada, Department of Employment, Training & Rehabilitation; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Galbreth was committed to the Southern Nevada community, serving on the Governor's Youth Council and as a member of the National Youth Employment Coalition Board of Directors; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Galbreth was instrumental in developing strategic work plans in support of Nevada's statewide workforce development initiatives, he was a valuable and exemplary member of the community he served and his dedication to our citizens was an asset to our state; and

WHEREAS, Nevada is a better place because of his service and leadership, and Mr. Galbreth's selflessness is exemplified through his time in the military and lifelong commitment to service; and

WHEREAS, he enriched his community, the Silver State and our nation; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Galbreth grew up in Seagoville, Texas and was married to the late Virginia L. Chambers and they had two children, Kelly and Roderick, and two granddaughters, Trinity Yasmine Canada and Sydney Chambers Canada; and

WHEREAS, Ardell Galbreth passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017, and the thoughts and prayers of the Nevada family are with his family, friends and loved ones;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRIAN SANDOVAL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim  May 30, 2017 as a day in honor of
