WHEREAS, the State of Nevada is home to unrivaled natural beauty, from Lake Tahoe and the majestic Great Basin to the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and the Valley of Fire; and

WHEREAS, the Epic Rides Off-Road Mountain Bike Series will conclude its nationally celebrated event with the inaugural Carson City Off-Road Challenge, offering participants the opportunity to experience Nevada's great outdoors through 15.35, and so-mile back country mountain bike courses; and

WHEREAS, Epic Rides has partnered with Nevada State Parks, the Carson City community, and the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest Service to organize and coordinate this special inaugural event; and

WHEREAS, the Carson City Off-Road event will attract mountain bike enthusiasts from around the country who will have the chance to experience Nevada’s Spooner and Marlette Lakes, the Tahoe Rim Trail, Sunflower Hill, Snap Dragon Trail, and other features of Nevada's natural landscape; and

WHEREAS, local community organizations and associations that will benefit from the Inaugural Carson City Off-Road event include Nevada State High School Cycling League, the Tahoe Rim Trail Association, the National Interscholastic Cycling Association, the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada, as well as others; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada remains committed to promoting tourism and travel as critical economic drivers that help to sustain jobs and diversify the state's economy, and events such as the Epic Rides Inaugural Carson City Off-Road event support Nevada's role as an international leader within the tourism and travel industries; and

WHEREAS, the Silver State is proud to host the Epic Rides Inaugural Carson City Off-Road event and warmly welcomes all participants, planners, organizers, and enthusiasts, with best wishes for a fun and memorable event;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRIAN SANDOVAL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim  June 18, 2016, as

 EPIC RIDES CARSON CITY OFF-ROAD DAY IN NEVADA
