WHEREASKendall Cummings began his employment with the State of Nevada, Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation on April 24, 1995; and 

WHEREAS, Officer Cummings worked diligently and was promoted first to the rank of Sergeant and then to Department of Public Safety Lieutenant, where he served for a year at Headquarters in Carson City; and

WHEREAS, Lieutenant Cummings worked in multiple areas of operations within the Parole and Probation division, including General Supervision, House Arrest, Intensive Supervision, Drug Court and Presentence Investigations; and

WHEREAS, Lieutenant Cummings will retire with more than 20 years of State service on September 23, 2016, and begin the newest adventure in his life, being remembered in his career for his many accomplishments, his abundant sense of humor, and ability to encourage and motivate employees around him; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Kendall Cummings on his outstanding tenure as a dedicated state employee and joins his family, friends and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation to him for his years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRIAN SANDOVAL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim  September 23, 2016 as a day in honor of

 KENDALL CUMMINGS
