WHEREAS, Kareen Masters has honorably served the State of Nevada since 1988 when she joined the Department of Administration, Division of Human Resource Management, where she rose steadily through the ranks during a seven-year tenure; and
WHEREAS, Kareen Masters has exercised the highest standard of conduct in her work within theDepartment of Health and Human Services' Director's Office since 1995, consistently performing her duties in a manner intended to ensure the equitable and respectful treatment of each employee that serves or has served in her Department; and
WHEREAS, Kareen Masters has served as a reliable source of expertise in the field of human resources for all Department staff, and as an exceptional mentor and role model for those who aspire to follow in her footsteps; and:
WHEREAS, Kareen Masters is regarded by her colleagues for consistently applying unparalleled commitment, attention to detail, and a deep sense of responsibility to her role within state government; and
WHEREAS, Kareen Masters is described by her contemporaries, friends and co-workers as fair, discreet, understanding, hard-working, professional, positive, appreciative and dedicated to the process of lifelong learning; and
WHEREAS, Kareen Masters has served with excellence and distinction under five Nevada governors including Richard Bryan, Bob Miller, Kenny Guinn, Jim Gibbons and Governor Brian Sandoval; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada joins Kareen's colleagues and friends in extending our deepest thanks and appreciation for her many years of public service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
