WHEREAS, Catherine (Cathy) Freitas has faithfully devoted more than 25 years of public service to the State of Nevada, and will retire on April 16,2016, having served in a variety of roles with multiple State agencies and doing so with distinction and dedication; and
WHEREAS, throughout her two-and-a-half of public service, Cathy has served both as an administrative and accounting professional for the Departments of Administration and Health and Human Services, and the Public Utilities Commission.
WHEREAS, Cathy’s has developed a sterling in the workplace, and is regarded by her friends and colleagues as a team player is consistently helpful, understanding, and creative, as well as patient, dependable, and self-motivated; and
WHEREAS, Cathy’s work ethic and dedication to her role in state service are complemented by the balance she has struck between her professional responsibilities and her devotion to spending time with her family, enriching the lives of those around her.
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Cathy Freitas on her outstanding tenure as a dedicated state employee, and joins her friends and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation to her for her years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
