WHEREAS, Aurelia Ewing has faithfully devoted more than 27 years of public service to the State of Nevada, serving in a variety of roles with multiple state agencies and doing so with distinction and dedication; and

WHEREAS, throughout her more than two decades of public service, Aurelia Ewing has served as an administrative professional for the Nevada Agency for Nuclear Projects, the Nevada State Legislature, the Department of Administration, and the Nevada Department of Corrections; and

WHEREAS, Aurelia has developed a sterling reputation in the workplace, and is regarded by her friends and co-workers as a team player who is consistently helpful, understanding, and creative, as well as self-motivated energetic; and

WHEREAS, Aurelia's work ethic and dedication to her role in state service are complemented by the balance she has struck between her professional responsibilities and her devotion to spending time with her family, enriching the lives of those around her, and pursuing her hobbies and other interests; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Aurelia Ewing on her outstanding tenure as a dedicated state employee, and joins her friends and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation to her for her years of service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BRIAN SANDOVAL, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim  January 5, 2016 as a day in honor of
