Governor Brian Sandoval today announced he has appointed Anthony Williams of Las Vegas to the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents. Mr. Williams will fill the remainder of Cedric Crear’s (District 1) term on the Board.
“I am pleased to appoint Anthony Williams to the Board of Regents,” Governor Brian Sandoval said. “A U.S. Navy Veteran, Anthony and his wife are raising their four boys in North Las Vegas and I am confident Anthony’s perspective will be invaluable to the Board of Regents.”
A Leadership Las Vegas Alumni, Anthony Williams serves as Vice President of Engineering Operations for MGM Resorts International’s Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. As Vice President of Engineering Operations, Williams has executive oversight of the entire facility, covering engineering, energy management, horticulture, construction and development. “I am very thankful and humbled to receive Governor Sandoval’s appointment to serve District 1 as its next Regent,” Anthony Williams said. “It is an honor to be the voice of the students throughout this great state as well as my community I have called home since the day I was born. I look forward to working with my fellow board members and the entire NSHE team to make our higher education system the best it can be.”
