Governor Brian Sandoval today announced the appointments of William (Bill) Ham, Tom Thomas, John Littell, Ron Frye, Michael Crome, Rob Cilento, and Gary Bogan to the Oversight Panel for Convention Facilities, effective immediately. The Governor named Bill Ham and Tom Thomas, Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively. The panel was created during the 30th Special Session of the Nevada State Legislature and will be responsible for reviewing, providing recommendations to and approval of the LVCVA renovation and expansion plans including the issuing of project bonds.

Michael Crome – Vice President of Finance, Planning, & Analysis, Pinnacle Entertainment
Ron Frye – Vice President of Design and Construction, Boyd Gaming Corporation
Rob Cilento – Vice President of Corporate Finance, Las Vegas Sands Corporation
John Littell – President and Chief Operating Officer, Wynn Design & Development
Gary Bogan – Vice President of Facilities Maintenance and Compliance, Caesars Entertainment
Pursuant to Section 53 of Senate Bill 1 passed during the 30th 2016 Special Session of the Nevada State Legislature, the Governor was tasked with appointing seven members to the newly created Oversight Panel for Convention Facilities. The Governor selected from individuals nominated by the Clark County Commission, the Las Vegas, Mesquite, Henderson, or Boulder City Councils, Senate Majority Leader Aaron Ford, Speaker of the Assembly Jason Frierson, and the Nevada Resort Association. The legislation set specific qualifications for the panel members which included a requirement that all appointees must live in Clark County, no two panel members may be representatives of the same company or its affiliate, five members be “executives or directors of construction for a resort hotel” and two must have experience in the financing of capital projects in Nevada.
