Governor Brian Sandoval today announced the appointments of Ann Wilkinson as Chairman of the Nevada Transportation Authority, effective immediately and Terri Albertson as Interim-Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles, effective October 26, 2015. Wilkinson will replace the current Chairman, Andy McKay and Albertson will replace retiring Director Troy Dilliard.
“Ann is a highly regarded public servant with a unique set of skills that she has developed throughout a long career in public service,” said Governor Brian Sandoval. “I appreciate her willingness to step into this position and I am confident her broad scope of administrative experience will provide her with the background to excel in this new role.”
Ann Wilkinson currently serves as the Deputy Director for the Nevada Department of Administration where she oversees day to day operations including personnel, state IT systems, purchasing and procurement and previously assisted in budget preparation and management for all state departments. Prior to her current position, Wilkinson served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Governor Brian Sandoval and as an Assistant Attorney General. These experiences have provided Wilkinson with specialized experience in budgeting, contracts, human resources, and office management issues. She holds a Juris Doctor from Seattle University and a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from the University of Washington.
“Terri has been at the forefront of DMV modernization and she will continue to play an important role as the state continues to improve the services provided by this important Department. I am pleased that she has agreed to step into this new role during our transition and look forward to her leadership as we implement the investment and programs necessary to improve customer service across the state,” said Governor Brian Sandoval.
Terri Albertson has more than 30 years in administrative and managerial leadership which includes almost 10 years at the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles. In her current capacity, she serves as the Administrator for the Management Services and Programs Division where she serves on the executive management team which develops and establishes strategic planning and budgeting processes, coordinates projects including system modernizations, next generation kiosks, and helps manage the legislative process for the Department. Albertson earned her Associates Degree from Reedley College and a Bachelor of Arts from Fresno Pacific University. She is also a Certified Public Manager from the State of Nevada and is a member of the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrator Leadership Academy.
