Carson City, NV - August 17, 2015
Governor Brian Sandoval today announced the departure of his Chief Counsel Michon Martin. Martin will be leaving the administration later this month to pursue an opportunity with Resorts World Las Vegas, a subsidiary of the Genting Group.
“For more than two years Michon has served as a loyal confidant and dependable counsel. She is an invaluable member of the team whom I could count on to meet difficult challenges and consistently exceed expectations. Michon was integral to developing this administration's pursuit of the new Nevada, and has been tenacious in her advocacy for a stronger, more prosperous state,” said Governor Brian Sandoval. “Michon has devoted her professional career to public service, and she has been both an advisor and a friend during her tenure in my administration. She has left a profound impact, and will be sincerely missed by our entire office. On behalf of a grateful state, I wish her all the best in her future and thank her for her exceptional service.”
“As a native Nevadan, it was a true honor to serve under an inspiring leader who was willing to set a bold agenda to propel our state forward. Governor Sandoval is the hardest working member of the administration and his vision and genuine passion for our state are powerful motivations to serve,” said Michon Martin. “It has been a pleasure to work with his staff, cabinet, and the entire administration. I was deeply honored to play a role supporting the Governor's mission of laying a foundation of success for future generations, and placing Nevada on a path toward a brighter future."
