Governor Brian Sandoval released the following statement today after learning of the death of Elko County Commissioner Grant Gerber.

“Commissioner Grant Gerber was a tireless advocate for access to, and management of, Nevada’s treasured public lands and natural resources. Grant was fearless in expressing his beliefs and never hesitated to share his convictions. He was a passionate public servant with a deep love for his state and country. I am proud to have known Commissioner Gerber and will remember him as a patriot and a fighter whose determination brought him to Nevada’s Capitol steps as part of the Grass March Cowboy Express. His family will remain in my thoughts and prayer during this difficult time,” said Governor Brian Sandoval.
