First Lady Kathleen Sandoval today congratulated Spanish Springs High School on its selection as a finalist in Good Morning America’s Katy Perry “Roar” contest. Spanish Springs is one of five national finalists in the music video contest, sponsored by ABC and Perry.

“I was so impressed with the video and the hours of hard work Spanish Springs students put into it,” First Lady Kathleen Sandoval said. “Through the use of music and dance, the video brings to light the struggles that every teenager faces. I congratulate the students of Spanish Springs High School for shining a light on these issues and I wish them the very best as the competition continues.”
