Governor Brian Sandoval and the members of his Cabinet will tour Nevada businesses tomorrow, Thursday, May 17, 2012 as part of the Administration’s ongoing effort to focus on economic development and job growth.

The Governor will tour Aramark Uniform and Career Apparel in Sparks at 9am. Aramark was recently presented with a “SHARP” Award (“Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program”) by the State Office of Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Aramark is located at 655 Spice Islands Dr # 107 in Sparks.

For press in Northern Nevada, the Governor’s tour as well as the tour being taken by the Chief Information Officer, Department of Information Technology, Dave Gustafson, at Microsoft in Reno at 4pm are open to the press.

For press in Southern Nevada, the Director of the Department of Transportation Susan Martinovich will tour Dig This in Las Vegas at 10am; the Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development Steve Hill will tour Vanguard Integrity Professionals in Las Vegas at 3pm; and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Dr. Jim Guthrie, will tour the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health with Clark County School District Superintendent Dwight Jones at 4pm in Las Vegas. Each of these tours will be open to the press.

In Elko, the Director of Public Safety, Chris Perry will visit J. M. Capriola Company and Cedar Creek Clothing and the Director of the Department of Taxation, Bill Chisel will visit Barrick Goldstrike Meikle Mine Site.

A listing of all tours is attached. Due to confidentiality requests from the businesses, the Lt. Governor’s tour of Falcon Dassault Aircraft in Reno and the Director of Health and Human Services tour of Aloha Medicinal in Carson City are CLOSED PRESS.
