Sandoval Statement on Death of Las Vegas Soldier

CARSON CITY, NV - March 01, 2011

Governor Brian Sandoval issued the following statement this morning after learning of the death of Spc. Brian Tabada of Las Vegas, NV in Operation Enduring Freedom. Spc. Tabada died on February 27th in Afghanistan. He was based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division:

“I was saddened to learn of the death of Spc. Brian Tabada of Las Vegas in service to his country. Spc. Tabada made the ultimate sacrifice and we are forever grateful. As our state mourns his loss, Kathleen and I extend our sympathies to his family.”

Sandoval will also order flags to half staff in Spc. Tabada’s honor.
