CARSON CITY, NV - October 27, 2011
Nevada Day and Halloween are fast approaching in Carson City. The Governor and First Lady Kathleen Sandoval will host Nevadans at the Governor’s Mansion this Saturday from 2 to 4pm for tours and again on Monday evening from 5 to 8pm for trick-or-treating.
On Saturday, the Governor’s Mansion will be open to the public for tours from 2 to 4pm. The family quarters of the Mansion – not normally a part of group tours – will be open on Saturday afternoon.
On Monday, the 31st, from 5 to 8pm, the Governor and First Lady will distribute candy to trick-or-treaters at the Mansion. This year, entertainment will include Controlled Burn fire dancers, the Carson City Dance Troupe, the Carson High School Drama Club, The Rappin’ Ratz, The Crash Dummies, a magician and a “lucky duck.”
“We’ve been decorating the Mansion, adding ‘behind the scenes’ photos inside and stocking up on Halloween candy,” Governor Sandoval said. “It’s our first Nevada Day and Halloween in the Mansion and we’re very excited to see everyone.”
