Ordering Flags to Half Staff

WHEREAS, the Thunderbirds of the United States Air Force are a preeminent example of the pride, professionalism, and dedication of the thousands of Airmen who serve at home and abroad;
WHEREAS, Major Stephen Del Bagno was tragically killed during a training flight over the Nevada Test and Training Range on April 4, 2018;
WHEREAS, all Nevadans are grateful for the service of Major Del Bagno, and express deepest sympathy to his family and loved ones; and
WHEREAS, Article 5, Section 1 of the Nevada Constitution provides: “The supreme executive power of this State, shall be vested in a Chief Magistrate who shall be Governor of the State of Nevada.”
NOW, THEREFORE, by the authority vested in me as Governor by the Constitution and laws of the State of Nevada and the United States, it is hereby ordered as follows:

The flags of the United States and the State of Nevada shall be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol and all State public buildings and grounds on Friday, April 6, 2018, from sunrise to sunset, as a mark of respect and in remembrance of Major Del Bagno.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Nevada to be affixed at the State Capitol in Carson City, this 5th day of  April, in the year two thousand  seventeen.
