EXECUTIVE ORDER 2016-35 

Order Amending Executive Order 2016-01 Extending the Time Period for the Nevada Gaming Policy Committee to Deliver Its Report

WHEREAS, I, as Governor of the State of Nevada, reconvened the Nevada Gaming Policy Committee by issuing Executive Order 2016-01 on January 15, 2016;

WHEREAS, Executive Order 2016-01 directed that the Committee deliver a report to the Governor, the Nevada Gaming Control Board, and the Nevada Gaming Commission on or before September 30, 2016;

WHEREAS, Executive Order 2016-32 amended Executive Order 2016-01 to extend the time period for the Committee to deliver its report from September 30, 2016, until November 15, 2016;

WHEREAS, productive policy discussions regarding the future of gaming in Nevada are ongoing before the Committee; and

WHEREAS, Article 5, Section 1 of the Nevada Constitution provides: "The supreme executive power of this State, shall be vested in a Chief Magistrate who shall be Governor of the State of Nevada."

NOW, THEREFORE, by the authority vested in me as Governor by the Constitution and laws of the State of Nevada and the United States, it is hereby ordered as follows:
  1. Executive Order 2016-01 shall be amended to extend the time period for the Committee to deliver its report from November 15, 2016, until November 16, 2016; and
  2. Executive Order 2016-01 shall remain in force and effect in all other respects.
